What If
Acrylic on canvas, 30 x 40 inches / 76.2 x 101.6 cm, 2025
We’ve seen too many images of grief—a father clutching his lifeless child, a mother wailing over a body wrapped in white.
The world barely blinks anymore. But what if the victims were white, blonde, middle-class women? Would the world finally care?
This painting confronts our selective empathy and the brutal hypocrisy of whose suffering we choose to see.
